The home should be the treasure chest of living. ~ Le Corbusier
Who am I, anyway?!?
I’m an interior designer that started my business in 2007 but has been practicing (!?) ever since building my own doll house furniture at age nine and sewing my first outfit at age seven. I learned all about construction and sewing from my extremely-talented DIY parents. My passion for textiles and fashion lead me to years of retail experience at clothing and fabric stores. And, having moved 16 times across 7 states has given me the best opportunities to make every space feel like home.
My love for all the Arts lead me to study Interior Design at the University of Illinois while managing the catering department at a gourmet grocery and bakery shop. (I love trying new foods and feeding people!) I also did time in the Accounting department and was the HR manager for a start-up tech company in Kentucky where I met my husband. He's extremely social and we entertain large crowds regularly - ask me about Derby de Mayo when we meet. ;-)
All this seemingly disconnected experience has been valuable in becoming an entrepreneur after dedicating seven years to our two great daughters and finding myself with time on my hands while they were at school. We currently live in the small town of Blackstone, love having a horse for a neighbor and don't get me started talking about my chickens!
Now, I meet wonderful people (I have the DEAREST clients!) and get to help them make their home reflect and serve them while making the most out of their largest investment. Let's get started on yours!
